Microsoft Adds Email Alias Feature in Hotmail

Hotmail introduced a utility named Mail Aliases that allow a user to add an email alias. Alias is an alternate email ID which can be accessed from the primary account. Email sent to all alias will be sent to the primary account in folders Aliased Email.

There is the option to receive and send email via the primary account. This helps the user to eliminate multi email account needs. You can now using multi ID aka formally or personal and can regulate email alias in the one setting. As a user, You can add up to 5 email aliases per year to a Hotmail account in the primary.



Other important features such as if there is the same email, It is only sent to the email alias, not to your account primary email to address any redundancy. Features from Microsoft also prevents mix name contacts are the same. People with the same contact name will be separated in ID email aliases and email ID primer (personal).
